Travel

Giles County, Virginia is beautifully located in the Blue Ridge Mountains between the four Virginia counties of Craig, Montgomery, Pulaski and Bland. Bordered by the counties of Mercer, Summers and Monroe on the West Virginia side.

Along with the 35 miles of the New River running through Giles County enhancing it's quiet rural appeal, the famous Appalachian Trail also winds its' way through Giles' high peaks and peaceful valleys.

Highway 460 is the major east / west route taken through Giles with Route 100 easily taking you to Pulaski County. Located just 20 minutes at the most from Interstate 81, Giles is a favorite escape from the hustle and bustle of surrounding cities like Roanoke and Blacksburg.


Bordering with West Virginia's interstate 77 which runs north / south from Ohio to South Carolina makes Giles County a thoroughfare for travelers and a major stop for tourist.
