We are looking forward to presenting many artist from this area and their work here on GilesOnLine. One of the biggest attractions to tourist visiting this area is the great amount of talent we hold here.

If you, or someone you know, would be interested in using this site to showcase some of your work, we would be delighted to have you. It can be any art form from writing to music to fine art or sculpture. We will photograph (low res) you and your studio or gallery and do a brief write up on you.

You may use this space as well for one to two pieces of work to be showcased per month.This is my favorite area of expression, so I hope you will join me in promoting "The Arts" of Giles County and the surrounding areas.

Art on the Lawn - Saturday, May 27th 2006
Join fine artists from around the New River Valley for an intimate, open-air art show and sale on the front lawn of the historic Giles County Courthouse in Pearisburg. Just one of the many events being held this year for the Giles County Bicentennial

Fiddle Tunes of the Old Frontier: Henry Reed
Known not only as a fiddler but as a banjoist who finger-picked the banjo with all his fingers and as a harmonica player who could play all the notes of complicated dance tunes on the harmonica. He had a reputation for always welcoming visitors and providing food and a place to sleep as well as good music and good company, and the Reed home became something of a convening place within the Glen Lyn community.

Arts Council of the Blue Ridge
The council represents many local artists and works to promote their art in galleries, businesses and restaurants.
